Review – Chef Coats by ChefUniforms.com

So when I was asked to write a review about a Chef coat from ChefUniforms.com I was very happy to do so.  Chef Uniforms is a division of Uniform Advantage, which provides all type of professionals with high quality uniforms since 1985. They operate 27 stores throughout America and sell their merchandise online to customers worldwide. Uniform Advantage created chefs uniforms in 2006 to the high demand of uniforms for the hospitality industry and is offering everything a chef needs to look professional.  Whether it’s chef pants or coats, shoes, aprons, hats or shirts, you’ll find it at ChefUniforms.com.

I chose the Egyptian cotton chef coat. Not because they are the most expensive coats, but  I have come to appreciate cooking jackets made with Egyptian cotton. They just feel very comfortable on the skin especially when working in a hot kitchen. As it is with all clothes, people judge you by the way you dress. That’s no different in the kitchen. Chef uniforms.com provide quality uniforms for the entire hospitality industry including front and back of the house.

Once my order was completed I received my chef coat the next day, which was very impressive. These days customer service is at utmost importance. ChefUniforms.com delivers just that; fast and knowledgeable customer service. The jacket I  had received was XL and could actually go for a 2XL, because it’s quite large. Nonetheless, I washed it in hopes it would shrink a little, but it didn’t.  I think this says a lot about the quality of a cooking jacket.  I usually wear white jackets because I’m not a fan of dark or colorful chef clothes, maybe I’m too traditional. Though I wish they had more choices on white Egyptian cotton jackets. However they offer a wide selection of colorful clothes to please the most discerning customers.

There are many companies that offer uniforms for the Hospitality industry. ChefUniforms.com clearly stands out through professional and efficient customer service. I was very happy with the quality of the jacket I received and could recommend them to any chef.

Disclaimer: Although I have received this chef coat at no cost, my opinion about the merchandise and chef uniforms.com are my own.

  1. I was wondering…. Do chefs cook in long sleeves to prevent burns that my wrists are covered in right now? Because I cannot cook with long sleeves. And I’m amazed that they don’t get in the way…

  2. Yes, Chefs do cook with short sleeves. When I use to cook in the Caribbean that’s all I would wear, burn or no burn. It was way to hot to wear long sleeves. However here on the east coast the kitchens are not that warm, (in particular in the winter) so it is much more comfortable to wear long sleeves. It also looks better in my opinion.
